Environmental impact, driven by responsibility.
Protecting the environment is a core element of Keenfinity Group’s sustainability strategy. We take a structured and proactive approach to reducing our environmental impact, improving resource efficiency, and driving continuous improvement across all operations.
A cornerstone of our environmental approach is the consistent implementation of robust environmental management systems. All headquarters and production facilities are certified according to ISO 14001, the internationally recognized standard for environmental management. This ensures that we systematically manage our impact on the environment while continuously enhancing our performance.
Our environmental efforts are focused on two key areas: Climate Action and Circular Economy. Through these priorities, we work to reduce emissions, optimize resource use, and contribute to a more sustainable future.
Climate Action
We work on climate action by focusing on two key objectives: reducing CO2 emissions, and the responsible use of water.
Reducing CO₂ emissions
A key step in our CO2 reduction efforts is our commitment to the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
Within its first year of operations as a standalone company, Keenfinity Group has committed to setting near-term, company-wide greenhouse gas emission reduction targets aligned with climate science and validated by the SBTi.
This validation reinforces our commitment to measurable and transparent climate action across our operations and value chain. By aligning with SBTi standards, we ensure that our emission reduction targets are consistent with the goals of the Paris Agreement, supporting efforts to limit global warming and achieve net-zero emissions by 2050 at the latest.
Contributing to this goal, we work towards improving our energy efficiency, Besides having our facilities operating preferably on green energy – either through the purchase of green electricity, or through our own production of renewable energy, we also continuously implement measures to optimize energy consumption, including the use of energy-efficient technologies, smart building management systems, and continuous monitoring of energy performance.
As a global company, we also address emissions in transportation and logistics. Dedicated teams continuously develop innovative and sustainable packaging solutions that reduce material use and optimize packaging sizes. These efforts contribute to reducing waste, conserving resources, and minimizing environmental impact by lowering CO₂ emissions during transportation and logistics. Close collaboration with suppliers ensures that best practices and sustainable design principles are consistently applied.
Using water responsibly
We recognize water as a critical and increasingly scarce resource and are committed to managing it responsibly through our operations. Our environmental management systems include measures to monitor, manage, and continuously reduce water consumption across our facilities, aiming at minimizing our environmental footprint and safeguard water availability for communities and ecosystems.
To further strengthen our approach, we are undertaking efforts to enhance water-related data transparency and performance management across the Group. This includes improving water consumption reporting across all business units, as well as strengthening the monitoring and reporting of wastewater discharge across our locations. These efforts enable us to better understand both water scarcity risks and water quality impacts, supporting targeted improvements and more informed decision-making.
By combining efficient water use, improved data visibility, and responsible wastewater management, we contribute to protecting water resources while minimizing our environmental footprint.
Circular economy
We are committed to advancing circular economy principles, by focusing both on material efficiency and extending the useful life of our products.
We actively identify design and engineering opportunities to optimize material use and integrate energy efficiency into product development. This helps reduce energy consumption across the entire product lifecycle. Through these efforts, we contribute to a more sustainable product use by lowering its environmental impact throughout the lifecycle.
In parallel, we are developing roadmaps to conduct Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) for our best-selling products, enabling a deeper understanding of their environmental footprint and supporting data-driven improvements.
Key to our industry, Keenfinity Group also follows the WEEE Directive (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment), contributing to the reduction of electronic waste and improving environmental performance across the entire product life cycle – from design and production to collection, recycling, and recovery.
Our aftersales and service activities further support circularity by extending product lifecycles through repair, refurbishment, and maintenance services. By keeping products and materials in use for longer, we reduce resource consumption and contribute to a more resilient and sustainable business model in the face of increasing resource scarcity.
