New call station feature and router amplifier support
New PRAESENSA 2.50 software release
With software release V2.50, the PRAESENSA public address and voice alarm system takes operational excellence to the next level.
Touch screen zone selection
V2.50 introduces a practical enhancement that simplifies system design and installation.
Previously, selecting zones for announcements required a keypad installed next to the call station. With the new software release, zones can now be selected directly on the call station’s LCD touch screen. A call station can support up to maximum eight zones without additional hardware.
For smaller and mid-sized installations, this means reduced hardware requirements, lower installation complexity and improved cost efficiency.
Ready for the new AR616 Router Amplifier
Software version V2.50 is also a key enabler for future system expansion.
To operate the upcoming PRAESENSA AR616 Router Amplifier, installation of V2.50 is required. The AR616 will be available starting at the beginning of Q3 and expands system flexibility by combining routing and amplification in one powerful device.
By updating to V2.50, partners ensure full compatibility and are prepared to integrate the AR616 seamlessly into new and existing PRAESENSA installations.
More flexible battery configuration for easier system integration
With software release V2.50, the PRAESENSA system introduces enhanced flexibility for battery configuration and monitoring through the web-based user interface. Installers can now easily adapt battery monitoring and charging behavior to match specific installation requirements, especially when alternative circuit breakers or battery cables are used.
By enabling settings to align with measured cable resistance and the battery’s nominal internal resistance, V2.50 offers greater freedom in system design, simplifies integration, and supports a wider range of installation scenarios. Adjustable parameters include absorption charge voltage, absorption-to-float threshold, and impedance fault threshold, enabling greater flexibility in battery cabling, component selection, and overall system design.
Clear fault information for faster response
With software release V2.50, the PRAESENSA call station Fault Log can now display user-configured text descriptions for external faults. Instead of numeric codes, operators see clear and meaningful fault information directly on the call station display. This enhancement simplifies fault identification, removes the need to cross-reference input IDs, and helps operators respond faster and more efficiently, improving overall system usability and operational reliability.
