With perimeter intrusion detection solutions, video cameras with edge-based Intelligent Video Analytics (IVA) Pro Perimeter go beyond standard cameras to act as sensors, keeping watch over an area and detecting intruders at fence lines or virtual fence lines further away from the perimeter – even when they roll, crawl, or hide in tall grass – while ignoring false triggers.

Using thermal and moving cameras provides long-distance detection for early intervention and the ability to automatically track intruders, even in adverse lighting or environmental conditions. Map-based tracking within the Bosch Video Management System (BVMS) makes it easier to follow intruders using nearby cameras without the operator being required to memorize lengthy device names. Managing vehicle access to high security government buildings requires effective license plate recognition. IVA Pro License Plate Recognition adds accurate license plate details to the surveillance camera’s metadata stream, helping security teams ensure each vehicle is authorized to enter the area. When combined with IVA Pro Make and Model, additional information can be utilized to ensure a plate matches the registered vehicle. This data can be also used for operational and safety purposes to manage vehicle traffic flow, entry control points, and parking utilization. With IVA Pro Intelligent Tracking, moving cameras can automatically track vehicles as they travel throughout the field of view of the camera, even if they stop or enter a crowded scene. IVA Pro Buildings can also detect and count vehicles onsite to improve situational awareness for government facility managers and help them better manage parking lots or garages.

L. 115-232] (NDAA 889), United States government agencies are prohibited from procuring covered telecommunications and video surveillance equipment from select manufacturers. Situational awareness of where a person is in a particular area without identifying them is still possible with information, such as clothing type or color. A single-camera stream can be used for live and recorded video, enabling masks based on user permissions, and if necessary, unprocessed video footage can be turned over to law enforcement agencies.
