Ensuring Security, Conference and Public Address systems evolve with the Province
Bac Ninh province in Vietnam has been selected to pilot the construction of a smart city model. This requires the formation of large-scale information systems and will involve the use of many new technologies. Confident of Bosch’s global reputation, the Department of Information and Communications looked to the leading sound and security solutions provider to make sure that operations in its office building were able to keep up with the pace of the province. It sought a Bosch solution for the supply and installation of quality conference and public address systems across eight floors and 5,472 square metres of space that would suit the Department’s limited budget without compromising safety, security or quality.
Securing both personnel and the property
The building lacked a comprehensive video security system that would provide surveillance and to both staff and visitors. Knowing the importance of being able to monitor and protect authorized personnel and property within the premises, the Department commissioned Bosch to install superior sound and surveillance systems that exceeded international standards. The Bosch team worked closely with Bosch Security Certified Partner AIC Trading Joint Stock Company to create a cost-effective and efficient solution, despite the logistical challenges. Multiple configurations were proposed, but the team ultimately settled on the most optimal to meet the Department’s needs.
An efficient, yet elegant Conference System
The CCS1000D Conference System comprises of configured control units and meeting control made possible via a tablet and the system’s built-in web browser. National and international conferences are made seamless thanks to the system’s on-board support for automatic camera control, which allows all participants to see who is talking at any given moment. Each Discussion Device features an elegant, highly stable casing with a built-in loudspeaker and delivers great acoustical performance while the microphones, specially designed by Bosch, deliver crystal-clear speech intelligibility.
Delivering 24/7 safety and security
The IP cameras feature resolution of up to 5 megapixel as well as Starlight technology which promises uncompromising performance in the dusk of the night. All IP cameras are specially designed to maximise the ease of installation, which in turn reduces the set-up time as well as the time needed for training. The PLENA Public Address and Voice Alarm System was also a suitable choice to compliment the necessities for an ideal evacuation of the building, if required. It now facilitates coordinated evacuations with clear pre-recorded voice instructions enhanced by simultaneous horn and strobe alarms.
The result
Despite the logistical and budget constraints, the Bosch team provided the Department with a single source solution that delivers ease of both operation and maintenance. The Department now has a modern public working office that matches the requirements of a smart city. Because Bosch implemented a modular design, the systems will continue to meet the developing needs of the government agency, well into the future.
